In reading through past posts about oil filters for the TS1610, some have recommended many different filter numbers that, when the specs are researched, some are SAE 3/4-16 threads, while others spec as 20X1.5 MM Metric. One of the manufacturers sites warned that these two are very close, and the SAE filter WILL fit on the metric pipe, but may blow off.

Does anyone KNOW if the threads are SAE or metric, or is it possible that some of each were produced for different markets?

I just have a few hours on my 1610, but want to get it right the first oil change.

Thanks for any help.
