I HAVE A CRAFTSMAN DYT4000 RIDING MOWER. CURRENTLY, IT WONT START. I REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER AND SPARK PLUG. I TESTED THE FUEL PUMP AND IT IS PUMPING FUEL TO THE CARBURATOR. WHAT ELSE COULD BE THE PROBLEM? WHEN I SPRAY STARTING FLUID IN THE CHAMBER, IT STARTS RIGHT UP.

Carburetor has blocked jet. could be water in bottom of bowl, drain carb and try again. water is drawn into todays "gasoline" by the ethanol. then the ethenol leaves by evaporation and leaves the water behind. Almost any carburetted engine left to sit more than a few weeks in any kind of humidity can experience this problem. We gotta get the corn juice out of our gas.
