Drove by the old Farm & Country store in Calhoun, GA Saturday and noticed that TSC had put signs up. I was told by the Cleveland, TN. store that they are also opening up in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
I was told by a TSC employee Saturday that our store (Niles, MI) will be moving into the QFF building down the street at the end of the summer. TSC has been very cramped and this should help (other than the lack of competition aspect) /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Bulldogger,
You must be fairly close to me or at least you were Saturday as I was in Calhoun about noon and saw that same sign. All I saw was a TSC "coming soon" sign and a stepladder in an empty store. A friend told me on Sunday that there is also a similar sign at the old Quality store in Ft. Payne, AL. BTW, I'm located in Summerville about 20 minutes north of Rome off GA hwy. 100.
Now the question is ... considering that one of the key factors in the death of QFF etal, was trying to very quickly engulf all the acquisitions .... is that going to now happen to TSC. Are they going to be able to grow this big this fast? Or are we going to see another batch of stores with no inventory and no communication?
And what the heck do I do with my ThankQ card now? ... got me some pretty good doiscounts in the past!
I've still got one on my keychain, too. I've only had it a few months, and never even had a chance to cash in on it! I only knew F&F for a few months, I liked 'em so much I can't bear to take the card off my keychain./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
