Oil & Fuel TT55 New Holland Tractor will not start appears to be starved for fuel

Well I checked the power to the solenoid and instead of 12volts I had 0 volts. I jumped power to the solenoid and turned the key...and it start. Thanks for all the help. Now I have to figure out where the wiring is bad.

Put a jumper across the connector going to the seat switch. That's the most common problem. Some seats have the switch installed up in the seat and older tractor have it on the platform below the seat. There are loads of tractors with the same symptoms and it's the seat switch going bad. I'm sure glad you got your tractor started. Checking and jumping power to the fuel solenoid is a great first step. That tells you if your problem is electrical or fuel starvation. BTW: Almost all New Hollands drop power to the solenoid if the seat switch detects there is nobody in the seat. The engine still turns over, but won't start. That's why so many people think it is a fuel related problem when it is electrical. If there is a problem with the neutral sensing switch, the engine won't turn over. When the engine does turn over and power is not at the fuel solenoid, it's the seat switch acting up about 99% of the time.

Thanks for your help Jinman. I guess I should get a wiring diagram and figure out how to jumper the seat switch. Looks like you live not far from me, I'm in Johnson County. I have friends up in Wise County that I team rope with.
