I guess I should read a little more before starting something I know very little about. Purchased TU 1700 about a month ago, went off to school for 3 weeks and ordered new fuel filter while gone. I installed new filter, but did not fill bowl. I know for sure I have air in my lines. No black smoke out of exhaust while starting. Bled the two small phillips head screws on bowl, plenty of air came out. Bled the rail going into block, fuel while trying to start. With switch on, cracked screw on side of pump, plenty of air and fuel, but still none to rail on block. Any suggestions before I carry to diesel mechanic?:confused:

Fully charge your battery,start back at the fuel bowl and bleed again. Follow the fuel and bleed from the bowl to the rail. Try to start again.repeat until it starts. Air will move every time you try to start. Be sure to not use the starter too long at a time ,so not to burn it out. That is what the guy you pay to fix it will do. A tip, every Iseki I ever had required the glow plugs to start, even in the summer. Check them to be sure they are working before you go any farther. A volt / ohm meter will do that for you. Check voltage, then remove the wire and check from the plug to ground, you should show 0
on a high ohm setting.

Thanks for the information. It finally worked, after bleeding numerous times, finally got fuel. You are right about these little tractors being hard to start. I have mine parked inside of gararge and still have to heat glow plugs over 1 min to have a chance. :)
