Tuff Shed

I bought a Tough Shed 10x14 for storage of wife's doo dads about 10 years ago. After about 6 years, the door started to sag a bit. ToughShed came out and fixed it at no charge, didn't even ask me how old it was. Other than that, it has been great, much better I would guess, than a Lowes kit.

Another thing I like is the galvanized metal foundation, no sagging floor there. They are a bit more expensive, but it seems like a clear case of you get what you pay for.

All I had to do was provide a stable gravel pad. And, yes, the galvy metal foundation is really nice. Max ventilation - still no access for rodents.

I went to a Tuff shed dealer in Tucson over 20 years ago and at the time simply didn't want to pay their prices. I went armed with a tape measure and paper and pencil. They had no problem with me measuring and taking notes. I copied the dimensions and lumber specs and built my own. It cost me about half and I upgraded to a metal roof. They are well built but nothing special. I think their market is those who simply don't have the tools or skills to build their own (like most of the big box store shed buyers) or simply have more money than time or energy.

Just build your own. It will be far cheaper and done right. There's no mystery in tossing up a simple shed. Spend 20 bucks at Lowes and buy a book if you don't know how to do it.
