Hi all, I was recommended to come here and find help.
I have a Cox ride on mower which has a Tuff Torq transmission/diff whatever you want to call it, part number 7A646084410, i believe its one of the common ones.
Anyway, it its choppy/jerky/stuttery, (i'm not sure the correct term to use) when rolling in neutral, such as down ramps or coming to a stop after accelerating, it is an even jerk say every 1/6 of a wheel turn. it feels like a tooth is missing on a gear somewhere but i've opened the box and the gears looked fine.
It drives forward and backward perfectly fine and the mower itself is only a couple of years old with 200 hours, and the problem started after i went over some very pumping land.
At a guess i would say its something to do with one of the spinning piston mechanisms but didnt want to start pulling the transmission apart as i might fail to put it all back together, and i need it for work so i didnt want to risk it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Matt
