I generally wear ear buds when I’m brush cutting, but I hate that you can’t hear what’s really going on. Definitely can’t wear them when pulling trees. Have to be able to hear what’s going on with the loader and trees, so I decided to add some tunes to my tractor.
Built me a couple of plates to match the holes in my canopy bracket.
Welded some thin gauge square tubing to the plates.
Mounted up high next to the ROPS. I really wanted to paint it Kubota gray , but I didn’t have any paint so I just went with satin black. Actually think I like the black better as it matches the inside of the canopy and doesn’t stand out.
Added some marine Kenwood 6.5 to some enclosures I had from a previous project.
Mounted a cheap Pyle 400 watt marine amp behind the seat. I can still get the seat all the way back and it fits back there pretty well.
Got it all hooked up and it sounds ok. I obviously didn't have the brush cutter on, but I ran it up to 2100 RPM and I could hear the music just fine.
