TURBO L series vs NON TURBO

/ TURBO L series vs NON TURBO #11
I used to fear turbos for the reasons mentioned but now wouldn't have it any other way. They are quieter, more powerful and seem to use less fuel at lower RPM's.
The only problem, and it was already mentioned is to re-start immediately if running at full, loaded, lugging RPM and it stalls. Start right away. And warm up for a few minutes before you start any real serious lugging. But you already do those things anyway.
Good luck and go with the extra HP is my thought.

I like their sound when they're singing too!

Never have I felt so good when I mash the throttle and say "whine baby whine"!!!

They do sound nice and there's no arguing with their power. But sometimes an air leak somewhere will turn them into a "tweety". The days I've spent running a "tweety" weren't so nice.

i got called to a m120 with a blown exhaust gasket. it made to loudest most terrible choofing/whistling noise i have ever heard. never really considered how much pressure is on the exhaust in a turbo motor unil then.
