Bruce, you raise a good point. The Kubota sales manual only describes the possible interference problems of the brand/sizes of turfs/r4s on which Kubota has chosen to standardize and to sell. There may very well be other tires/rims that would work better in certain applications. That would require specialized knowledge by the dealer or a lot of research by the buyer.

By the way, who was this dealer. I'd like to ask him what he had in mind. I keep toying with the idea of a 3710 but dont know that I want turfs.

The dealer is Capital Agway Kubota in Troy NY, Ray Pine is the owner and person who deals with all customers. The good news is everybody gets to buy from a knowledgeable person who can give them a great deal.

The bad news is that this makes him very busy and very much in demand, ie it is hard to reach him at times.

The phone is 518-279-1133, He appears to be able to use non stock tires and wheels for specialty situations and maintain ratios and keep front and rears matched.
