I have a 2WD 5105 and noticed some time back that the dash mounted turn signal switch on the left side of the steering wheel was no longer working. I checked all the fuses and everything checked out. I checked the flashers and they were all working which removed the possibility of a bulb being out. Recently I accidentally bumped the signal switch and they started working. I have since looked at it more closely and have determined that the signals will work so long as the switch is not moved completely to the left or right. In other words, you have to not flip the switch completely but keep it in a "in-between" spot. Doesn't look like there is adjustment to the switch. Is it safe to assume that the switch just needs to be replaced? I admittedly don't "need" turn signals, but since they are there I want to make sure they work properly. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

And just when do you use your turn signal ?, at the end of the corn row ?, just before the taters ?

It sounds like the switch to me Deere5105. I need to replace the parking brake switch on my 4200 as it stays lit when the brake is off.

I do use my turn signals when I drive to a nearby friend's house to move dirt and rock for him.

You know I kinda saw something like this coming. I guess it is just a bad habit of if I have something I want it to work like it is supposed to. Not sure how long it had not been working. Just noticed one day when driving it on a public road to another location that it was not working.

A pernicious disease with which I am all too familiar. Have you considered having a doctor look at that?

I recently noticed the turn signals not working on my 3038e. I'll have to jiggle the other switch to see if they start working.

Have not made it to the doctor for this, but have found support from others with similar symptoms!!

I priced a new switch today and am having a little trouble determining exactly which part could be the issue. Looks like the switch controller mechanism will run about $50. May try to look at the switch one more time to see if there is someway I can get it to work before replacing. To clarify, wiggling the headlight switch did not affect the signal switch. The key has to be on for the signals to work and I could flip the signal switch to either direction and then pull back a little toward the neutral position and they work as they should. If I can just get the switch lever to not go so far in both directions then the problem is solved.
