turnbuckles on lower lift arms

I got the HF quick hitch today, and after a few min in the rain, realized that I need to widen the lower lift arms on the 3ph. I sprayed both of them down with WD-40 but I think it will take some heat as well to break them loose. It'd raining so hard here that I can wait a few days before I want to go back out and do anymore, so no hurry on any responses,

Have you tried using a big wrench or large screwdriver in the turnbuckle slot as a force multiplier? when I bought my tractor used, the seller had painted everything to make it look good for the sale. (It really does look good!) The paint also made it hard to adjust the turnbuckles the first time. Once the threads were worked loose, using the above methods with a little lubricant, it no longer posed a problem.

My "go to goo" for stuck threads is PB Blaster. Spray on and let it sit (out of the rain) and then unscrew whatever. Works on rusted as well as damaged threads.

I too used PB blaster and it worked. Had to clamp them in a vise and work them back and forth for about 5 minutes each to get them out. Clean the threads and coat them with oil and it will be a long time before the stick again.

Got them lose today, required that I remove them from the tractor, a can of "Break Free", a vise, tire iron, and a long adjustable wrench. Of coarse it started raining before I got everything back together, but got it back in the shed before I got too wet. Thanks for all the help folks.
