Twisted + bent rotory blades

   / Twisted + bent rotory blades #11
von : i would suggest u don't use blades that bent or out of balance, not only can they vibrate and cause damage to ypur cutter, but they can also be dangerous when they vibrate that much.$30 or $40 is not that much every few years for safe operation.

Hi Von - I agree with Neal - COLD straighten the two best ones, sharpen them and keep them as spares - if any easily visible cracks have started, throw them out. BTW, heating them doesn't go anywhere unless you're a heat treater and you know all the alloy-specific specs on what temperature to bring them to, what to quench them with, and how to case-harden and/or temper them again to get all the desireable toughness properties back. Take care - Dick B
