Twister Just Went Through

Had a twister go through about 7:30-8:00pm this evening. Missed the house but took out our orchard and several other mature trees. For some unknown reason it hopped over the house, so I would say we have had a good day! Knocked the power out for a short period, so I could not tell about it right away. We had another twister go through two days ago, but it was south of us. It knocked out the power for about 12 hours that day. Those twisters are a fascinating quirk of nature but they sure can get mean. Hope everyone in my area made it through the storm okay.

Thank the Lord you folks are alright!
All these twisters are getting to be a pain in the bum...I know some have not made it through. Hopefully, you have a basement.

We got big wind storms in southeast illinois. This morning everything that was on my front porch had been moved over my 30 acres. I found my grandsons tent in the orchard, a tarp in the pond, and trash strewn around everywhere. Funny thing was, I am a sound sleeper and did not hear the storm at all. My wife said I was the cause of the rattling windows, but I don't know what she means.
