Paid the final payment for the F3080 in May that I use to mow here at home and paid the final payment June 9th for the F3080 that I sold last year and used the money to buy back my formerly owned F2680. Two payments I no longer have to pay.
Over the years some Jobs Comforters have not encouraged/discouraged me to/from buy/buying more new Kubotas on credit. 0% 42 to 60 months. I have been using these machines while prices have been going up while the cash only buyers have wore out their backs and waiting till they can pay cash.
If I had had financial reverses I could have always sold the machines to cover the debt or at least most of it.
Wait or buy now?

Congrats on paying off two machines! Based on previous posts, I am guessing these machines have less than 500 hrs combined. That means that there is a ton of life left in each. If it were me, I would use them and enjoy fully owning them and not making hundreds of dollars of payments each month. Buying a new one would only really get you an hour meter that says "0" and maybe an engine with more emissions equipment, otherwise I don't think there are any new features on the front mowers that would drastically improve the ride, cut, improve productivity, etc.

:):):) Just did the 50 (52hrs) hour service on the home F3080 and the "Used" F2680e has around 160 hours on it. Not interested in trading them. I have a couple of years payment left on the RTV1140 also not for sale or trade and maybe under 3 years on the B2620 FEL BH with under 50 hours. Might would sell the B2620 to return to a BX25 but it would have to all be in alignment with big discount on the BX25, fair price for the B2620 and major rebate from Kubota. I paid off a couple a few years ago and Kubota sent me 3, I believe, $500 off new purchase coupons which kicked me over the edge to buy another new one.:D I've said it before but.....I think I'm about over my trading days on Kubotas.

John, I just made the last payment on my GR2120 in June, Down to one Massey (1652) and the F3680.
Time to start looking for the next toy/Tractor.

How did you just make the last payment on a machine you disposed of by selling last year? Was it not a secured loan with KCC?

How did you just make the last payment on a machine you disposed of by selling last year? The final payment came out of my checking account just like all of the previous payments. Buyer gave me the money and took the F3080.
Was it not a secured loan with KCC? Yes, yes it was
It was really simple. Not a problem. I actually took the money and bought my previous F2680e back from Barlows and paid some of the balance on my other interest bearing loan on the other F3080.

:D Bought my first Kubota tractor BX2200 FEL MMM 11 years ago. Decided I needed more power and more ground clearance so bought/traded for a BX1500 MMM and a B7800 FEL which I paid off in three years and then returned to the trading store for two more. That's how it all started. :cool2:
You go buy more, but for me, I think I'm done unless someone wants a 50 hour B2620 FEL BH so I can get another BX25.:D

This would not fly on a titled vehicle, but I imagine its legal on a tractor (haven't financed either of my Kubotas so I don't know what the fine print says). I do wonder about insurance though, as I thought Kubota loans required KTAC coverage for the full term.

I think the "sane" comparison is buy now or finance now. With cash purchase you normally get another $500-2500 off the price of the tractor (it was $1000 and $1500 for my two purchases) and there is no KTAC requirement. If you'd get KTAC anyhow, as most do, it really comes down to that initial discount for cash. Or from the other angle, the upcharge for buying on credit.

It's not strictly 0% if they charge you more for the tractor than the cash price would be! As an example, the upcharge on my L3200 would have equated to about 7.5% interest.

In the end, do what you have to do. I won't criticize anyone for buying and enjoying tractors. Heck, I am borderline insane with my chainsaw collection. I'm the only guy in the area that can make a case why at least 4 different chainsaws are needed for any single tree job.....

The kubota finance contract says you are not allowed to sell the unit and if you do you are in default on the loan. I guess what the do not know wont hurt them!
