How about addressing the idiots that drive all over the Az. desert with total disregard for the law, or the flora that they destroy.
Nothing like a covey of middle aged boneheads out for an ATV afternoon of mulching the desert. The great thing is you can see their tracks for years to come.

AMEN prb51, I live in an area that Patton's army trained now over 60 years ago an we can still see jeep tracks. I have tried to explain that this is called "Desert Pavement" once you break the crust and make roads,trails tracks, they are there forever. I would like to see a program to educate people about how fragile the desert is.

I would like to see some tests on those foriegn "mini- trucks" to see how well they perform under loads, etc.

Two posters have mentioned how fragile the desert is, once damaged it never recovers.

I'll second (third??) that. A feature on ATV clubs educating their members to love and protect the desert would be good to see.

The desert should be appreciated for what it is, and not just used like it was a private, maintained, racecourse. It's not.

I like ATV's, the four legged horse type.
I've no issue with them when used legally/responsibly in areas designated for use but our desert is covered by rogue trails/tracks by loons doing, it seems, everything they can to destroy the thing they profess to enjoy.
The 5% that drive responsibly can disregard.
