Two questions, please

Long-time TractorByNet user regarding compact tractors but haven't used a skid steer in decades (since the time when Bobcat meant skid steer). Will be using an S 185 on wheels with chains for snow removal. Is there an operator manual I can download? Second question; machine may be for sale at some point. One owner but multiple operators. 300 hours, almost all snow removal. Maintenance OK. Machine has been always out of doors and next to salt water, wet climate. Tires quite worn. Any estimate at an approximate value? Thanks.

Yes, thanks, both an operation manual and an operation and maintenance are available on line and can be downloaded for free. I must also say that price or value estimates are all over the map for a 2012 S 185 with about 300 hours. A couple people here in tractorbynet suggest $12,000 but other estimates are as much as almost twice that amount. I do believe that during this peculiar period of a so-called pandemic skid steers, compact tractors and the like are selling quite well. One extraneous thought that occurred to me is how extraordinary is the amount of horsepower we routinely have today; as a teenager I ran most every brand of rubber tired log skidder there was, and I owned a John Deere 440 skidder. This S 185 Bobcat has almost as much horsepower as that John Deere did, and no one considered that John Deere particularly under-powered for its intended use.
