Hi everyone, new member, with a new 233 HST I bought 2 months ago. I've seen a few threads on intermittent starting but thought I'd add a new one to share my issue and also post anything I find out.
After about a month of very light operation, I went to use the tractor and it would not start, seemed to have plenty of battery but nothing when I tried to crank it. After 15 minutes of setting/releasing the brakes, shifting the PTO on and off, etc it suddenly cranked up and ran fine all day. That made me suspect one of the safeties was stuck, but could be coincidence.
Didn't use it for a week, then went to do some work yesterday and same thing (only this time I couldn't get it to start). Any thoughts? I can see the brake switch and it seems to be releasing fully when the brakes are applied. Fuses are ok in the panel on the bulkhead. Lights work fine, etc. Does anyone know where the other safeties are located for PTO, etc and if they are physical switches as well?
Thanks in advance. My dealer said he can come pick it up in about a week, so if I haven't come across a solution by then, I'll post whatever he comes back with.
Thanks,
Robert
