TYM 654 Power shuttle isues

Are there any 654 owners that are having a problem with a hard shift using the power shuttle?

Not sure what the problem is, but a buddy bought a TYM 503 with a known issue in the clutch/transmission. It won't go into reverse. He knows he has to split the tractor.

The tractor has over 4000 hours.

Anyone else?

Tech was out yesterday.There is an issue with some T654's. He removed a pressure valve and stacked a few copper washers on the valve spring.That made the situation worse.He stated that he will need to get a lab top and adjust the clutch and power shuttle thru the ECU. I asked him why did you not bring it with you when you came out and his reply was that the TYM rep showed him how to use the app last year but that he would want to try it out on a T654 on their lot first. That was a 3 hour round trip for that guy and a waste of time for all. The tractor has 38 hrs on it and I felt that the power shuttle was jerky from day one. I called to speak with their service manager about the issue and was told they are a little jerky. A week later I called back and said I need to come down and drive one on your lot and see for myself and then they said that there are known issues with some T654's having a hard jerky shift. I will call today and speak with the owner of the dealership to find out what their plan is to correct this problem. I'm optimistic that they can correct the power shuttle problem.

I wonder if your shuttle control is similar to the Branson 8050 and 7845 shuttle controller, or even the same.
My 8050 works better if I just use the shuttle lever,
if I use the foot pedal it is very touchy and shakes and shudders,
it is very difficult to move just an inch or two.
I actually have to go into first gear and A range to have any type of smooth control with the foot pedal.

Could be the same power shuttle controller? Both clutch and shuttle on mine have an issue. My advise to anyone is to have a certified Tech look at the setting for the clutch and shuttle in the ECU. You may find that there needs to be an adjustment.

Tractor has 38 hrs on it. I purchased it from Jordans Tractor sales in Post Falls Idaho. I have had it since April 2020. The T654 is a power house, I first thought maybe it was a little to much of a tractor for me but after putting the rig to work on clearing some forest land and decking some logs so my son can build his home I quickly realized the tractor was a good fit.It will be plowing snow this Winter and a warm cab with some good tunes playing thru the Kenwood is going to be sweet. I do have a issue with the power shuttle that needs to be adjusted thru the ECU. Spoke with the tech yesterday and they are going to take the tractor to their shop and fine tune the clutch and power shuttle. I would recommend this tractor to anyone.Good luck on your search.

Hi guys,
I'm having one of those beasts with what I use to call "cangaroo shuttle".
When ever you figure out how to setup the shuttle response it will be fine untill you'll engage pro or 4wd. Every eu distributor Id asked for advice starts laughing when I'd mentioned the model. TYM send us a fake SW which make it even worse.
