I understand that many of the engines in TYM's lineup utilize mechanical fuel pumps and mechanical injection with only electronics used for the emissions.

Does this mean you can tune the engine to increase HP output? I understand this may cause warranty issues but I'm just wondering if its easily attainable.

Depending on the TYM tractor model, it could have a couple of different engine manufactures. I know one is Yanmar.

With a Yanmar, a few tweaks can get 2 or 3 more Hp. However, the way the computers are for the Tier-3 & -4 emissions, it may not work.

On the models from the 80s, 90s and early 00, manual tweaking or just swapping the fuel pump got the extra ponies. Sometimes 10Hp, yet that also required injector swapping too.

For 1 or 2 Hp a different air filter (more surface area) was the trick.

The current models, 494 and 574 use kukje engines. TYM bought Kukje and Kukje owns Branson. Those engines are not common rail. The 454 uses a Yanmar and it has common rail. I don't remember which other models use which engine, but IIRC, they all use one or the other.

And Kukje has been making a slew of Yanmar engine parts for the past 60+ years. It's a small world too.

Kukje has a license to make Yanmar engines as well.

Yanmar engines are in the TYM/Kukje RK tractors sold thru Rural King. These companies are closely knit together.

Hope all is well up Nort'. I lived up that way for 6-7 years. Went to UWW.

I think the RK is almost 100% one-to-one match to TYM models. We don't have RK or Yanmar around here.

Kukje did some Cummins engines, so their engines share some tech as well.

Kukje has a license to make Cummins A series engines. That's what's in Bransons and the TYMs with Kukje engines. The fuel pumps on newer Kukje engines are clones of the Bosch VE pump. Any tuning that applies to that type of pump would apply to the ones on Kukjes.

I compared the Branson parts lists for the 3725 and 4225 which has the same engine but 5 more hp. The only difference is the pump part number. Which is probably the setting on the pump but might be internals as well.

There's some VE info from people who were into older VW diesels but I could not find enough to make me confident enough to start messing with it. I don't know of anyone who has. Increasing the soot significantly beyond what the factory setting makes might clog the DPF. Newer Bransons have the ability to manually command regens so that's less of an issue but my 4 year old unit can't do regens so that's a concern for me. I don't know if the Kukje engines in TYMs can do regens. The engines that do regens have a valve on the exhaust tailpipe (it closes during regen to increase temp in the DPF) so it should be obvious when you look at it.
