Did any of you guys go above your dealer and contact somebody at TYM to deal with a problem with your machine or voice your opinion about a design flaw?
If so, who did you contact and what was your problem. And did you get anywhere?

Thanks,

Grut

I have contacted the company right in NC and had no luck with any of the design flaws. Mine spews oil from the brather cap on the hydro when the backhow is attached. They wont fix the issue. Dealer has been fantastic, but TYM themselves dont seem to care. Ruined the concrete in my garage from this. I have been experimenting with solutions on my own.

I don't have a bh but have rear remotes and if u use em the oil flies out the breather. TYM doesn't seem to care, my local dealer passed away,& the closest dealer doesn't want bothered cause he didn't make$ sellin it. A warranty repair took 7 weeks to get done, but part of it was he is a farmer also and had to get his hay done first. wish I knew that before my tractor went there!

TYM Corporate does not seem to care about its cutomers. How are they going to stay alive in the market if their tractors have issues and they dont listen or fix them. All in all it is a poorly designed tractor.

Honorbound Sorry you feel that way.
I will have to disagree for the most part. From my experience it seems they listen and don't jump too fast , but they do try to work out their problems the right way. I own an T330 and would have to disagree completely on the design. I would put that up against anything of any color that compares in price, good luck finding any.
I looked at tractors for about 7 years seriously before purchasing. I haven't looked too hard at the new ones because 1) Mine fits my needs and 2) My wife would bury me alive. I take it you have a t2 series. I was about to purchase one before I was offered the T330. Your tractor is way more than the other colors can offer for the price.

Alky sorry about your situation also. Has your leaking problem been corrected then?

Has anybody gave any feedback as to what corrected their breather problem on this site?
Remember Almost Everything is fixable with the right attack and part. Just a suggestion where is the breather and can you snorkel it up high to not only be out of high water but also to allow for the expansion of fluid?

Well who did everyone deal with at TYM besides their dealer?

My fix on the rear seems to work, but now a different leak. The kwik couplers for the loader leak when they want to. First time my dealer gave me a new one,2nd time new o rings now its up to it's old tricks. don't understand since I don't remove the loader. guess the vibration must do it. I tried to get new ones but the hydro shop doesn't have threads like that.

Grut I have had numerous issues and design issues with the 233. I am on my 3rd brake switch as 2 have failed. Second set of tie rod boots as the first set failed. Both rear brake light fixtures had to be replaced due to the bulb coming lose and melting the fixtures. For the right foot rest I had to cut fuel line and glue it to the rest where the hydraulic hoses are for the front loader. The rest cuts the hoses due to the design and the sharp edge with the vibration and constant rubbing. The hydraulics were tested as there was no lifting or digging power and were fopund to be set 300 lbs to low compared to the specs. The hood latch had to be refabricated as the hood kept popping open for no reason, the latch was to short. The hydraulics leaking is a definate design flaw that TYM is aware of on the 233 with the bakhoe attachment. The flaw is both in the design of the cap and the way the hydraulic fluid returns. Now the rear disconnects are starting to leak for the backhoe attachment and this is on a tractor less than 2 years old. I both maintain and do not abuse my equipment. I have 160 hours on this tractor but I am old school. I do an oil and filter change in the fall, and one in the spring, needed or not as well as clean and lube on a regular basis. I also forgot to mention all safety stickers on the hoe attachment peeled off and had to be replaced. My dealer has been fantastic in getting me the parts and has been more than cooperative and gone above and beyond what a dealer should and I would recommend him to anyone. It is TYM coporate that needs to get their act together and listen and address the design flaws.

Wow I am really glad I didn't grab one of them T2 series. I understand your frustration with all those problems. Glad your dealer is great to work with. I see your point with TYM corp now. You happen to speak with Ken in NC?

I spoke Ken last year in NC. Didnt get very far..lol
I hope the larger tractors are designed better than the T2s are. All I know is if TYM wants to play with the big boys, they need to listen to their customers, but being they are from another continent I feel they are more concered with quantity than they are with quality.
