Hi,
Supposed to be quite high end tractors. Kubota engines in some and Deere engines in others. Seem them advertised with a 5yr powertrain warranty.
However, just a tad pricey.
They have a web site.
My understanding is that they also build for Century and Mahindra. Anyways, that is what I heard.

has anyone seen this tractor? i understand they r going 2 stop bldging for Century and Mahindra plus they will all be powered by cat engines. i have a allmand tractor made by tym, about a year ago allmand was getting into the market. they chose not 2 after a few months. the tractor is built strong and operates nice, it was a little pricie but i have it in my rental fleet and everyone that rents it loves it. i wounder if it is still the same tractor? the 1 that i have is 35hp

Challengers all have CAT engines but the TYM is still Kubota and Deere.

I was a TYM dealer. TYM is the Manufacturer for Scorpion, Millennium and 10 series Mahindra's. They do not build Century. The TYM tractor is a factory direct concept where the company will sell to OEM companies and build a slightly different model that they sell direct. It is ran by ex employees of Kioti and owned half by Korea and half buy a guy on the east coast.
TYM was difficult to do business with. Some parts were in stock but a fair amount were striped off tractors in crates out back. Complicated warranty claims and parts claims for dealers. During my association with them they didn’t pay one warranty claim to us. I would say half the tractors we received had hours on them, some had close to 30 hours, they were tractors that had been sent out as demos or had been on other dealers lots. One tractor we received was two years old before we got it with 31 hours on the meter. Some customers waited up to a year to get the correct wheels and tires for their tractors.
The hardest part was the fact that we could not post specs or prices online. The idea being that if customers knew as much as the salesman about a tractor that it is harder to "sell" the tractor. They also would not let us advertise the Kubota and John Deere engines fearing that those companies would cut there supply of engines off. Also TYM can only be sold on the west coast because in the east they are known as Scorpion. I have customers that moved back east and cant get Scorpion dealers to honor their warranty.
The tractors seemed OK. We have seen an average amount of repairs. Most of the problems related to clutches. Dash panels warped in the sun. Maybe that has changed but from the current photos it looks the same. 5-year warranty is front to back for the first year and coverage goes down significantly after that. Overall an OK tractor but the company definitely has growing pains.
If you like the TYM buy a 10 series Mahindra. You get a better price, established nationwide dealerships not just the west coast and a more established company when it comes to parts distributions and dealers.

I've had a T330 HST for about 6 months. It's been a great machine so far. Zero problems.
Kubota/Eaton drivetrain. A front axle that looks exactly like a Kioti's. It seems that all high quality Asian tractors originate from the same Japaneese/Korean parts bins these days. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I highly recommend TYM based on my personal experience, though.

Century tractors are built by Kukje, which also builds the Branson and Zetor C-series compacts that are/were sold in the USA. Kukje is of good quality, and even build some John Deere tractors in S.Korea.
TYM (Tong Yang Moolsen) were originally derived from Iseki tractors and technology. Their latest link-up has been with Case IH. (They market/assemble several Case IH tractors in S.Korea). They build the TYM, Scorpion, some Mahindra models, the former Millenium, and Allmand tractors for sale in the USA. TYM just struck a new distribution agreement with AM Jawa in the USA, starting in 2006. Scorpion's will still be distributed by Decker & Co.

Hey Butt!,
Not tryin to be smart or nothin. but John deere is what ya should lease to people if you like the people. I onced went up a huge steep hill with my John Deere and I don't believe I could make it on a Mahindra or a Tym.. If you are true tractor tester Ya'll should ride a John Deere cusz I reckon you wouldn't switch then.

I also have one, 8435 HST. Since Allmand dropped this model, I have no way of finding maintenance information. Can you give me filter part numbers? Also, I would like to locate owner/parts/repair manuals. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.
