I'm hoping this is a fairly simple fix, maybe this has happened to one of you. I have a tym 353hst that shuts down fairly often. It doesn't matter whether it's hot or cold, or how long it has been running. I'll be going about 1500 - 2000 rpm with no load on, it can be in 2 or 4wd and it just shuts down. It's got about 106 hours on it. I have no local dealer any more but Cabela's has done the service on it but it a real pain to get it there. Before I try to get them to look at it, I'd like to try to figure it out. Also, which Mahindra and New Holland tractors use the Mitsubishi S4L2 4 cylinder engine? I have a local dealer for both that I might be able to get parts from.
Ever since I bought it this has been a real problem for me since the dealer went out of business. I have had no one to take care of its servicing for over three years until I found a local guy who works for the highway department who can work on it sometimes, and just recently got Cabela's to do the 50 and 100 hour services. I'm not much of a mechanic so I have to rely on others for my service work. I'm getting frustrated with this machine and am even thinking of trading for a different red or blue tractor just for ease of service. It shouldn't be this difficult to keep it running
