Kubota L-2501 HST
I posted this in the wrong forum first. Then realized I need to be in the Kubota Owning/Operating.

I was out moving some dirt with my fel yesterday and felt a definite shudder in my tractor every once in a while (New L2501HST w/22 hours). It felt kinda like a 4wd pickup when it's in 4wd and you make a short turn. Definitely a BAD feeling that shook the whole tractor. This being my first HST I thought "Oh Crap, my transmission or rear end is going out already - I knew I should have bought a gear tractor".

I took it out of 4wd and made a few rounds. Same thing. Every once in a while when making a turn the hard shudder came back, just often enough to remind me I had a bad problem. I had my brush hog hooked up but it was in the up position and the pto wasn't on. After checking everything I knew to check I was mumbling to myself about getting my trailer and head to the dealer with this piece of junk.

As I walked around the back I noticed a glob of mud on my right hand 3ph arm. Then I noticed a very clean streak on the inside cleats of my right rear R1 tire. Hmm, SOME DUMMY didn't tighten the nut on the left stabilizer bar and the linkage had backed off enough for my right arm to make definite contact with the R1 tire. Since I was the one that did the initial adjustments I'm sure it wasn't me. My wife must have slipped out there while I was asleep, readjusted the linkage and forgot to tighten the nut. Only thing I can figure. Note to self: Get surveillance camera for tractor shed.

Sorry for the piece of junk comment. I have apologized to my tractor and it seemed to accept my heartfelt apology. I definitely got the feeling it might not tolerate that kind of language again.

I NEVER did that (well, not very often) :)

Back in '02 I was breaking in my new B7500. Every now and then, there would be a nasty sound up front and I could feel it in the steering. On a hard left turn, the lugs on the R4 would contact the drag link.
