Any Uk forum members know anywhere in the uk where you can actually buy parts to build your own implements such as
are sold in the USA by the likes of Woodward Crossings etc. I mean things like Bedder/Hiller Discs and Shanks, furrowers
and so on ?

You could start with Spaldings, but there are numerous agricultural parts suppliers all over the UK. Have you done a Google search or checked out farm equipment suppliers in your area? You ight have to buy parts to suit a named euipment maker rather than generalised parts. There is not a lot of demand in the UK from BIYers. There are so many used bits of equipment it is easier to buy something and either modify it or refurbish it if it suits what you want to do.

I wish I had the outlets you have for what you want. There is virtually no used equipment market here and so little demand for new that it is very expensive so I have to make some of my own - things like a stone rake, harrows, seed drill, and from bits and pieces made to fit what I need them for.
