Looking for advise from anyone presently using an Ultrasonic Cleaner to clean carburetor parts etc., their recommendations and cleaning solutions that work for industrial type parts.

The last I used one was 40 some years ago while working in a small jewelry manufacture shop during college. All I can recall about it was it cleaned jewelry like magic and the cleaning solution was purple color.

Carb cleaner solutions was the handy solution until they declared it a hazardous product and cost skyrocketed.

My go to solution is spray can oven cleaner and some air pressure for passages.

Even the dollar store spray can oven cleaner does a fine job and I let it work for a few minits followed by a rinseing in warm water.
Being a caustic solution be sure to thoroughly rinse and dry otherwise damage will result.

Oven cleaner is also a great de greaser for cruddy engines and parts.
But again thorough rinsing.

I paid around $200 for a unit large enough to do motorcycle carbs. I use Simple Green aircraft/aluminum grade cleaner. A bit spendy at $17/gallon, but it does a good job.

It DOES leave aluminum carb bodies a bit darker than they went in, but that's not something I care about particularly.

I have one, and I have used various solutions, from soap to gasoline in it. I used
front-loader laundry detergent a few times, and it makes my refurbed monster
chainsaw smell really fresh when it runs. I had the jug in there for about an hour.

Ultrasonic helps, but it is not a panacea.

I use the 201 carb cleaner formula in a 2 gallon 240 watt cleaner for carbs. the carbs come out darker than they went in which is no big deal. The thing is ultrasonic cleaners don't work well on small parts, or heavy dirt conditions. So precleaning helps a bit. It are a step up from the junk carb cleaners of today. some of the spray type carb and choke cleaners work fairly well as a precleaner and for after soaking to clear out the debris.

I have been using a nesto roster with a de-greaser. Leave it in over night set at about 210, works well.

Use one at our marina and it works well for most operations. We actually use pinesol in our unit and keep the temparture below 100 degrees.

"Carb cleaner solutions was the handy solution until they declared it a hazardous product and cost skyrocketed."

I assume you mean the old "Hydro Seal" cleaner that you soaked your carb parts in a little basket that was in the gallon can than removed them, rinsed them off and blew them out.
I have a can I've had for years and still use it. Just must remember to keep lid on tight. I still see it for sale in parts store around here.

I know people who have had great luck using a HF ultrasonic cleaner. I would start with a water and detergent solution for carbs.

I bought the HF ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning string trimmer, leaf blower, etc. carbs. Total junk. Wasted $70+ on the HF ultrasonic cleaner. Doesn't work well for anything I've tried. And the built in 4 minute timer... yuck.
