Have just finished lubricating my L3130 but was unable to get grease to go into the lower 2 zerks on 1 side of my 723 loader. Have never experienced this problem before. Any suggestions?

Some of them I do in the air to take pressure off of the zerk, others I put the loader on the ground to make it work.

You can use a tool like the Grease Buster or Zerk Zapper, or you can carefully heat the zerk with a torch to get the grease to flow through the zerk, or you can replace the fitting with a new one. Cheapest and safest is just to replace the zerks.

Pjoyner,

I had two zerks that wouldn't take any grease and in my case the grease was hardened and pack with dirt at the groove cut into the pin (not the zerk itself). This was discovered by removing the pin from FEL. Solvent and a pick solved the problem.

I had the same issue as moship. Sometimes you have to pull the pins and clean them.

Hope he comes back and lets us know how it went :p  I hate not knowing how the story ends...

Got it fixed by pulling the pin and cleaning the hole and groove. Of course that was after doing pretty stupid stuff like trying to force grease into the zerk, eventually busting the zerk. Sometimes I just need to take a time out. Live and learn (hopefully).

It appears that the solution has been found. A lot of good, sound advice has been offered, but I, myself, install covers on all zerks on my BOTA. Especially the ones on the loader where dirt and debris is more apt to accumulate. Just a thought.I also keep an ample supply of zerk fittings in my toolbox also.

I had a similar problem on my Kubota. I as able to slide the pin back and forth with hammer taps and when I retried to grease it, the grease flowed out both sides of the pin. It seems like there is a very localized blockage on the back side of the zerk.
