I am in the process of installing an LED light bar for my next customization job since my son and I finished the canopy manufacture and install. Having read various posts here and wanting to pick a good quality bar I researched various tests and reports and decided to order one from Black Oak LED. I am including a link to a very informative test comparison that I used to make my decision.

Let me say that the light bars tested in the report were not cheap. I read the various posts on LED's here on tractorbynet.com and saw many inexpensive lights talked about however reading background info on the components of LED's I wanted to get one that would do anything I need for decades (hopefully I live that long). I paid $207 for a 10" Osram led bar with all harnesses and mounting brackets.

Breathe deeply folks. Yes that is a pretty good chunk of change. But today I had an e-mail exchange that floored me. I sent an email asking for tracking purposes and they replied that they would when they sent it. They told me once an order is placed they then manufacture the bar and quality test it and then ship it. Yes folks, individually hand made and individually quality tested to ensure 100% quality control. Folks who does that in today's business environment?

My hat is off and I am giving a standing ovation to an American company that does business right. Also through the end of this month all light bars are 20% off. Buy a great product while you can save money.

I see they give a 30day delivery guarantee. As long as you are good with that lead time then great! My company often 'builds part to order' and I can say that 30 days is incredibly fast production schedule. Obviously they have all the component parts and assemble/test. Still very fast if they have much of an order base. Look forward to hearing your results and a pic of the finished job. Interested in seeing your mounting method too.

Maybe they need to cruise the hood looking for some cheap, assembly labour.

However, an Inspected Sticker with some ones scribbled initials doesn't always equate to a perfect product. I remember, we used to sell our old, unwanted and broken stuff at Ham Flea Markets and one day got the bright idea to put "TESTED" stickers on just about everything. We thought it just the most hilarious thing.

I hope you are kidding because if you are not, I am disgusted that someone would do that. How dishonest is that.

I think it's pretty darn funny! Been tested - doesn't mean it works. ;)

Sounds like a reflection of integrity or lack of it. Ed

The stuff's at a flea market and obviously used. Sounds like some of you are no fun.

Well if that is fun, you can have it. Obviously stuff at a flea market is used but if you need to stoop to deception to sell it then I'm happy that you can live with yourself but me, I have a conscience. Not like some it seems.

It is possible such a sticker could hold a legal description whether you meant for it to or not. I do agree not ethical nor a model for long term business.

Honestly, "needs to be inspected" could simply mean... "out of stock until the next container clears customs". Time will tell.
