Poked around and didn't see a thread like this so figured i'd start one. During the summer i'm grilling/smoking, during the fall/winter I switch over to cast iron.

Thought it would be a cool thing to share pics of different meals you cook, share recipes if people are interested etc.

I'll start it off with this. Did first cast iron steaks of the season last night. Medium rare bone in NYS finished/crusted with butter accompanied by scalloped potatoes and fresh green beans sauteed in garlic and butter.

Ya, we've talked about a cooking forum, but it has not been a high priority. Lots of good cooks on here based on older threads.

Looks delicious, what is your scalloped potatoes recipe? Just the ingredients no need to go into teaspoon measurements. Those scalloped potatoes look really good too.

I am aware of another site that has compiled a downloadable cook book created from member's tried and true recipes. I have personally contributed some of my favorite recipes, plus my technique and recipe for smoked baby backs, including my "secret" dry rub. I have found that the tried and true personal recipes are pretty much time tested and are very good!

I'm not trying to find work for the moderators, but I wouldn't try to dissuade them from doing the same thing.

I enjoy cooking but it’s something I don’t have time for often. Prefer cooking from scratch and most of my best meals are from recipes found on the internet or cookbooks put together by church ladies.

I've been trying to finish up the last of our venison in the freezer. One of my favorites is jaegerschnitzel with german potato salad and red cabbage slaw. The schnitzel gets a red wine and mushroom gravy and I fry the schnitzel using Rox's olive oil. Sorry no photo's

I grilled bacon wrapped venison filets tonight.
