Update from Branson/Century/Zetor/Kukje land

Weather is getting better here, and would rather be out on the tractor than on this computer...but hey, it's the wee hours of the morning, and got my cup of coffee, and catching up on the posts. What's new out there in Branson / Century / Zetor / Kukje land? Myself, I am waiting for the March drying winds to be able to get out and work in some dirt. Been looking at the seed catalogs, thinking of the garden and spring. We usually get a couple good drying weeks in March here, before April showers take over and leaves pop out. It's a good time to clear brush, cut firewood, work in the woods, and maybe get some early soil work done. Of course, our friends in Texas have been enjoying the 70 degree weather for some time. I keep thinking how Renze suggested we need to properly "beat in" our tractors so as to seat the rings. Best I can come up with is to do some heavy plowing in May maybe. Wait, that's another thing I need to buy. Honey, would you have any problem with me buying.......

what do you mean 70 degree weather? We just suffered through our 10 year snow fall. (about 2 inches !) I bet it got down to 26 degrees for a few hours ! Then my wife and I went fishing in FIFTY DEGREE WEATHER. we had to wear our heavy winter coats out there on the lake.. Caught a bunch of strippers, 3 of them were over 2 feet long.
Texas has the best weather anywhere... 70 degrees today, 30 degrees the next...
Sales and rentals are going up, up, up as spring is just around the corner.

Need some pictures of the fish or we may just call this a "fish story".

Sort of on topic, we have a couple of the 4720 Cummin's powered units in stock now. They have added an oil cooler, and a larger air filter (dual element). Of course the engine is the A2300, rated at 50HP by Cummins at 2800rpm and at 47HP by Kukje at 2600rpm. Nice tractor.

Well, Virgil....the bad weather down there in Texas was my fault. I got that new front blade....knew we wouldn't have any more snow up here after that. Bird said it was nice and all, but he didn't need it down there. I asked him if he wanted me to send some snow down his way. I think that is when you started getting bad weather. The fishing sounds fun, I will go in just about any weather. The ice is going off up here, should be good for Crappie in the next 3-4 weeks.

Dave , about the 4720... Cummins A2300...will the Cummins-ized Kukje A series be put in the rest of the Branson line....eg A1400, A1700, A2000, A2300, and A2300T ? Assume the 4720 in non turbo....so what's the next bigger size in the plans for Branson...assume it would use the A2300T.

All the Branson 10 and 20 series will eventually have the Cummins motor, although they will not be branded as such. Having the Cummins logo is not in the works due to licensing type issues I am told. So while we all know it is the Cummins, we can't use their trademark in advertising and the like. The 4720 is the non-turbo as you suggested.

It is neat to say you have a Cummins, but I can say that we have had none, zero, nada, problems with the Kukje engine. I don't know how the Cummins can beat that.

The next bigger is the 30 series. It should be out by summer I would guess. I don't know many details on it. It is a real step up in size.
