Update from Kioti on KL120/130 crack repair program

Have you talked to your dealer? When I called mine he basically told me that they were aware and so long as you informed the dealer so you're on record with them before the warranty is up. I don't know what will happen to anyone who doesn't discover it until after their warranty is up. Hopefully Kioti steps up and takes care of it. There are still quite a few tractors with a good amount of hours and no cracks. I think the worst cracks that a have seen a photo of were Highbeams, where they extended from under the plate and onto the radiused crossmember, and I believe he was still able to use the loader until the dealer took it in for the "repair". If you have bought a lot of equipment from your dealer hopefully they step and go to bat for you. Like I said this is just my 2 cents. Good luck with your loader.

Roller,
I think your posts are getting closed because you turn it into a ***** session instead of an informational one. If you have a ***** with Kioti about the loader, then speak directly to them. Sorry, but I forgot who, posted Kioti's reply as to a possible fix. This told us what has been learned from Kioti. Your response to this was; nothing is being done. Not exactly true now, is it.

Kioti may be taking longer than some think they should but I would like to see the fix engineered right the first time and be a permanent fix. Kioti acknowledged the problem and they are working on the solution. As was pointed out by Jon DePratt, everyone with cracks in their loaders are still using them without no adverse effects. No down time has occurred and nobody has been hurt because of these cracks. Also, not every KL130 loader has experienced this problem which makes solving the problem a bit more complicated.

CK30hst, KL130, and KB2375 owner willing to wait. Sometimes, patience is a virtue and I think this is one of those times.

It's simple, use your loader and sleep well at night. It's not going to fail and the company will see to it that any defects are taken care of when they are ready.

Actually, no one is closing Roller's posts. He was referring to the fact that a couple of the important threads on this topic have been closed in the recent past. That was due to unseemly moaning and groaning (the most polite terms I can use) which we are trying to avoid in this thread.

Also, Roller is in England. I wonder if the Kioti repair program will be released worldwide simultaneously or whether the "within 2 months" date I was given by Kioti USA applies only to North America. Perhaps Roller can contact Kioti UK and get back to us.

IslandTractor,
I was refering to Roller's "In a nut shell" and "Why why why why" posts he started. They have been closed and rather quickly. Some others were closed and as you mentioned, we all know why.
I would like to think Kioti will honor the problem no matter where it is but as you suggested, he needs to speak to Kioti UK or maybe a UK dealer to find out.
The time frame for the repair might get pushed back if after they engineer the repair and test it, it fails. That means back to the drawing board.

It's my understanding the prototype 'fix' has been in 'test' for a few months now. As Island posted (from Kioti) above, the prototype 'fix' is now in the process of being manufactured.

1) Kioti has finalized the engineering and repair strategy
2) Kits are being manufactured now
3) Expect that dealers will get an announcement "within the next two months".

You are right. I hadn't noticed they were closed.

Sorry Don. I guess I missed that the repair kits were being manufactured as stated in Island's post. I'll be more careful to re-read everything.

Island, right or wrong really doesn't matter. It just seemed that those posts were taking a wrong turn as from how I understand things from the last catastrophy. I just didn't want to see another mess like before and lose another good bunch of guys and several girls.

Instead of re-hashing why some threads were closed and/or who said what, lets try to keep the focus on the topic of the original problem of the cracks and the repair that appears to be in the works. ;)
