Ok I went ahead and bought it, the dealership produced documentation of regular services and repairs that were done when they needed to be done. The previous owner had it serviced regulary, and owns other pieces of equipment from the dealer. He traded it because he had depriciated it out on his taxes. There is no history of major repairs. (engine tranny fuel pump injectors) Just 500 hours ago the ALL the bearings were replaced in the front end for a complete front end rebuild(My Mech said it was just time for it) and it was done and I wouldnt have to do it (over $2800.00). It had a new bucket on the FEL. I had my mechanic who is JD trained, and has his own shop check it out for me. ( he quit as service manager and chief mechanic at the local JD dealership because they wanted him to cheat customers by padding the book hours charging "book" hours or actual hours which ever was LONGER)
I have put 3 hours on it moving round bales, fixing my driveway, and bush hogging. What ergonomics, I really like it! The duel hydro is HANDY.
The only things that dont work like new is the seat wont adjust back and forth, and the setaring column wont telescope or tilt. I have soaked them all down with PBBlaster, hoping to loosen them up.
Course I have put many hours on an old 8N with a sherman tranny, a few 601s. And some Kubotas.
I do like this New Holland.
