Update on T1520 with tick in the motor

Been really busy, but finally had a chance to stop by two different NH dealers to listen to other T1520 motors. Each lot only had one on site. Quick review: My wife, myself, the NH salesman, the NH tech, another dealers general manager/tech, and a NH regional rep have all heard this noise in the motor on my tractor. Lot #2 had the T1520 that sounded great.... Lot #1, however, the tractor started up, sounded good for a second, and then the ticky-zingy noise started. This is the same exact noise as my tractor. So correct me if I'm wrong, but the tractor on the lot with the noise should have the motor rebuilt, just like mine was.... All of these people acknowledged the same noise in my tractor and another one just the same is still for sale at dealer #1! I have also been in contact with NH and FINALLY a NH rep is coming out to look at my tractor.... We will see what happens, but I will ask this question, "Should this model be recalled???"

Could the tick be an exhaust manifold leak?

i believe they should find out whats wrong with yours first then the one on the dealers lot and make sure they have the same problems and if they do nh should do a recall on that batch of tractors maybe not the whole series because they could have got a bad batch of motors

Maybe we should all post a short video with sound.

What RPM are you at during startup. I use about 1300 - 1400 for because it seems right to me.
