Upgrade from BX1500 to BX1850

Good evening.

I have an opportunity to upgrade from my current 2005 BX1500 with just over 500 hours to a 2008 BX1850 with just under 500 hours. 48" to 54" MMM. FEL on both.

Possible difference in cost of $1500 to $2000 based on what i see 1500 w/FEL going for.

1850 is on my dealer lot, but dealer is closing so there can be no trade.

1500 has been great, but I want a little bigger deck, and the loader also has a slightly better capacity.

Any comments and suggestions appreciated.

You are not looking at a SIGNIFICANT increase in performance by changing, and you know the history of your current tractor.

You may get a BIG SURPRISE with the BX1850 and have no recourse with the dealer closed.

Stay with your BX1500.

I would suggest staying with your existing tractor also as you know how well it has been taken care of . If the dealer would give the previous owners name so you could talk with that owner it may give you a better idea what to do . There's a reason it is on his lot and I would like to know that reason for sure .

I'm usually a trade guy and have about 10 to 12 times but in this case I probably wouldn't for the reasons the others gave.
My 2nd Kubota was a BX1500 MMM and it was a great hillside stable mowing machine, most stable of all the BXs I've owned and it moved to hilly West Va from my house after a short stop at Barlows and as far as I know it still resides in W Va with a satisfied owner.
