Upgrade to self leveling loader?

I have a Kubota L39 with self leveling loader that you can turn the self leveling on and off with a small lever. It's hydraulic not mechanical so there is nothing different about the loader other than the valve. I love it for pallet forks but do not generally use it with the bucket unless I know I will be rising the bucket near max height.

By the description I presume this is hydraulic self level. Does yours only level on raise only or does it work in both directions? Just curious since I know of only one company that makes dual direction hydraulic self level.
