I have an almost new 5420 with dual mid SVCs. The 5425 series that will be out in March are available with a triple mid SVC. I want to put one of these on my 5420.
Yes, I know I can get a diverter valve or independent third SVC that is plumbed into the power beyond. I’ve even narrowed the search to WR Long who provides a complete kit with hoses, joystick button, etc. That may be what I have to do in the end, but I want to explore the factory option first.
I’ve seen a few pictures of the 5425 with the triple mid SVC installed. While they now use a different rear SVC, it looks like the same OEM brand (Sauer Danfoss) for the mid SVC. The plumbing looks identical with exception of the lower steel hoses which have to be different because the triple mid SVC hangs a bit lower due to the third set of couplers.
If the only difference from a hydraulic plumbing perspective is the SVC unit itself and two lower hoses, I’m going to try and get my dealer to trade it out. I’ll buy the joystick handle with the buttons and wire it myself. I know most folks would just go with an aftermarket diverter valve, but I like the looks of the triple SVC and want it as stock as I can get it.
The 5025 series may be too new for there to be anyone familiar with the triple mid SVC plumbing to comment. At this point, there are only a handful of folks who would know both the old and new layouts, but I thought it worth asking.
Thanks
