Used 3pt attachments

I can't see buying some attachments for the small projects that I need to do in the yard. Any good resources in the CT area for quality used attachments at a good price?

I have darned good luck with CL also. Generally, I find tractor dealers are asking new prices on any used implements they might have.

I feel/have experienced the exact opposite.. In my experience the dealers i've shopped at are looking to unload used implements ASAP so they can sell new implements. I feel that the "private sale" implements are overpriced...

I am in Marlborough and some of the attachments I would like are box scraper, spreader, and cored wood saw. After getting the new machine, funds are limited. I have been checking craigslist and have not found anything local. I have not see much posted at dealers either and driving around the state with the SUV is not practical either.

True story...Luckily I'm on the road for my job (in a pickup truck), so on more then one occasion I've arrived back at the office with a new toy in the bed...

craigslist is ok but some good deals can be found using a different approach...

Try taking out "Wanted" ads in any local newspapers within acceptable hauling distances...Often you will get replies from folks that have attachments that have been sitting unused for years and just don't have the initiative or the motive to put them up for sale...

...of course sometimes it takes a running tractor to load larger/heavier tools onto a trailer or a pick-up but the attachments are always there when you get there unlike some that are advertised on CL...
