Price Check Used B21 Pricing?

Found a used 2007 B21 with 856hrs on it in New York what is a good price to pay for it? The seller is asking $15,000.

Also can you put a thumb Hydrulic or mechanical on it?

Any known manufactures problems for that year?

Sounds like a decent price to me. With that many hours in two years most likely means it was used commercially or as a rental. I don't, although some do, find that a bad thing if the maintenance has been done properly.

You can put a thumb on the B21. Kubota did not offer a factory model but there are many after market ones available. Adding rear hydraulics is pretty expensive, in the 1k range.

Make sure the 3pt hitch arms and related equipment come with the machine. They are expensive to buy and on machines that never used them they seem to go missing over time.

Found out today it is a rental. Seller says absolutely nothing wrong with the machine. How many hours will the machine last 4-5,000 before needing major work?

How long before major repair? Hard to say. I bought my B21 in 2000 with 450 hrs and it was a rental. Now has about 1500 hrs and has never seen the shop. Seems most non-commercial users here on the forum average 100 - 200 hrs per year, after the first year big push they bought the machine for. There have been a number of users with over 4000 hrs here and I recall one who bought a new machine at 8000 hrs.

Kubota's commercial series are tough little tractors. What do you plan to use it for? The B21's weaknesses would be no mid mount PTO for a belly mower, you can not remove the loader and they are light on PTO power, 13 PTO hp, limiting some applications.
