The 8N doesn't have an independent PTO. Starting the baler and the tractor moving takes some thinking. Otherwise, the baler kickback will twist the shaft. You can run a baler off an independent Wisconsin 16hp engine. Have him convert the driveline to run off a separate motor.

Yep. As I understand it, the 8N does not have a 2-stage clutch.
He needs a larger tractor with a live pto.

He's pretty handy. Maybe the on-board baler engine is the way to go.
