Price Check used bx1800 pricing

Found a BX1800 today at a dealer. Not sure of the year but it has 200 hours. Has 54"MMM and 211FEL. Asking $9000.

Is this price in the ballpark? Or should I just pursue a new BX2200 with MMM and FEL for about $12450. Either rig should fit my bill.

This is all so much.... too may decisions.....

I just purchased a 2001 BX2200 with MMM/FEL/BB and trailer. The unit has 62 hours on it and has been garaged. With trailer, the total cost was $9800.00. I think I did get a pretty good deal; however, based upon my experience, I'd say the dealer should be able to throw in a tow implement of your choice. Good luck!

Wow..........I think the BX1800 is just a tad too small for me, but I would love to know where you saw THAT unit for that price. Send me a private message if you decide not to go for it.

Yeah, I have to say that I would think that is a doable deal. The only thing I'll throw in to muddy the water is that if you will be financing, you may find that the price difference is offset by the long term total interest paid. I.E. if the BX1800 is 9,000 and you pay 7.9% for 5 years, you will pay 1923 in interest. If you finance a Kubota at 0% you will pay nothing in interest. Therefore, new may be a better option.

Thats true.........I considered that myself. I'm looking right now, but all or most of 0% ends next week. Not much time for me to look around, just got the go ahead tonight from the CFO.

WICKMAN: personally i think it is a bit high, read ROCKET MANS POST. he got a bigger machine, less hours, a back blade and a trailer for $800 more than your quoted price. i don't know rocketmans location, and that can have a great effect on the price of tractors, so mabey u might want to see if u can get him to come down a bit. this is just MHO /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I was just offered a bx1800 new for $8800 with 54 mmm. 11,300 with fel, loaded tires, 54mmml, 5'rake, back work light.

Yes. It looks like Rocketman got a great deal. I probably would have jumped on that on the spot.

The dealers have the upperhand these days on the small Kubotas. They can't keep them around. They're hot. I got to take a test drive on a dealer's last BX2200 just minutes before they loaded it on a truck to deliver. Very nice tractor.

And when does Kubota's 0% deal end on the BX line? Is it June30th? And do I have to actually take delivery by the 30th to get the deal or just have it ordered?

Believe it or not I locataed my BX on e-bay. I just got lucky in that it was a local unit (San Antonio, Tx area) and the previous owner was a little skeptical of the ebay process. I guess my advice is "shop around" and you will find the right deal - although the deal you were quoted does not seem that far out of line;-)
