The Best person to buy a used vehicle from is… yourself! We have a 2010 Honda Pilot is going on eight years, which is fairly long in the tooth. But, it only has about 70,000 miles and everything works fine, so we "buy" it from ourselves every year rather than getting a new one, and we know it's history.. Besides, the new Honda Pilots look like jellybeans now. Very disappointing.

Same philosophy with my F150. The lease is up in April, so I have a choice of giving it back to the dealer, or buying it – used by me, and well taken care of. And, I don't see anything really exciting in the new 2018's, so I will probably buy it. It is a 2016 with about 25,000 miles on it.

That pilot isn't even broken in yet.

I agree. The only thing is, the vinyl is coming off of the armrest in the center console, and also on the driver side armrest. So, we have to look for a replacement. Also, the seats on the 2010 Pilot are a bit of a problem, because they are very hard to keep clean. Other than that, we're good to go!

Also, it is absolutely huge inside. We have put a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and fridge inside and closed the door. (Not all at once, of course.)

I have a 2005 pilot, 349k miles and 2013 pilot, 120k miles.
Not sure which body style your 2010 is, but i like the older one better.
I'll be replacing my 2005 soon.

Any decent auto upholstery shop can solve those problems.

We had a 2008 on lease before, and then switched to the 2010 with the new body style in January of 2010. My daughter said she liked the 2008 body style better (a little bit more rounded), but then later changed her mind and liked the 2010 better (with a little more angled look, and with more interior room.) Then with the new again body style (I believe in 2016) Honda turned the Pilot into a Jelly Bean like so many others. All 3 of us in the family hated this newest iteration, so... we are soldiering on with the 2010. No rust yet, either!
