The backhoe is a KB 2375. Do owners of this unit like it? How well does it hold up? What should I expect to pay? I know they list around $6500 new, may be in the 5s discounted or package. There are 2 buckets with the backhoe, but I don't recall the sizes.

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark,

I have seen both good and bad about this model. I must admit that I am no expert; however there does appear to be some design flaws with over extension or needing stronger reinforcements around joints and issues with valve assembly that is supposedly a known defect. (From what I have read).

See this link for reference to the need for reinforcements or over extension: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kioti-owning-operating/64076-help-kioti-backhoe-2375-broken.html

See this link about the valve assembly: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...need-input-ck-20s-purchase-2.html#post1419479

Either way I would still think that $5000 for a 2 year old backhoe with no known issues is still on the high side, but I could be wrong, however I have seen aftermarket for $4K new, although probably not great quality.

I would ask if he has had any work done or replacements while under warranty, also make sure you give it a good run though of all of it including the BH, I would suspect to spend more than an hour depending on what is attached!

GL and it might also just be easier to state what you have seen from others with this model to see if he will drop it on site

JMO, like I stated I am not an expert, just offering what I was thinking while drinking and researching that BH! If it makes you feel any better I am considering a New Kioti as one of my top two brands I am going with.

Mine leaks down pretty quick, it quite strong though. I just about have to run the engine at idle to use it. Otherwise it moves to quick and unruley.. Seems like some others like the woods have some extra control over that. ???

I paid about 5800.00 as I recall new in 2005.

I have the 2376. Not certain if they are the same hoe or not.

Mine digs 7.5 feet.

My hoe has 175 hours, digs strong and is easy to control. I am very pleased. I particularly like how my hoe attaches to the machine, which would be different than yours.

I just bought a brand new 9 inch bucket for 200 dollars.

I would get serial numbers of all, tractor, loader, BH and call Rick Wallace to check for you on warranty history, any other dealer should be able to do the same.

I purchased my LK 3054xs TLB in February of this year, 2004 model with 150 hours for approximately 14K if that's any help.

I would expect the CK30 to be worth significantly more.

I'll try to start a post tonight on a used tractor checklist, have not searched as there may already be one out there.

Good luck,
Joel

The person selling the tractor also has a rotary brush cutter
model RC20-72 it is a 6' unit. He states he has not used it in over a year and has a total of about 4 hours on it. He said it was $1650 and he wants $1200 for it.

For a CK30 is that a good mower?

On a Kioti page KIOTI - run ahead of the pack!
they list it for use on the LK30(TLB) and the DK35. They only show the CK25 HST on the chart (not the CK30) so I am not sure if this is a good fit or not.

What would a decent 5 foot model cost? A 5 foot may be better in the trees.

Thanks

Mark

My excavation contractor was by today, he was impressed with my CK30. He told me his dad just bought a new NH, didn't say what model. He said the BH on the NH leaks down so fast that he has to keep reaching back to bring it back up, just while he is transporting it from one area of his property to the other.

Woods does have a speed control for the swing on the BH80 and larger units. If yours is too fast, you can buy fittings with restrictors built in to slow the unit down. I run my CK30 at about 1500rpm when I am using the BH, digs fast enough strong enough for me.

i went and saw the tractor, it was better than I imagined. The dent is more like a ding. It is well maintained, no slop. He not only had the receipts for all the work and the dates etc in a book, he also has the old filters to show the work was done. He grew up on a farm and said his father used to say "Lube is cheaper than parts". He did the 350 hour service and has the filters for the next service or two. It ran well in all gears. I graded a bit of his drive way with a pulverizer, and it pulled well. This was his 2nd KIOTI.

Long and short I took it. If I didn't the friend I brought would have. Another person was coming to look after us, so I decided to get it. I do not think it would last. It was a "Smoken deal" as Wallace said. The loader was not the B model and there are some fine cracks, but even if I had to replace the arms I think I am well ahead.

I decided to take the back-hoe, will see if I can get something welded by the joint that has been reported to fail. He estimates he has 50 - 60 hours on the back-hoe, but it looks new. I got the Hoe for $4500 with 2 buckets. He used it to install an in ground pool. The hoe works well, but I will need some practice.

I also am taking a pto generator he had as well.

He will drop the tractor off Next week (Saturday). I apologize I forgot to take pictures, I will when it arives. Now the hard - part waiting a week!

Thanks for all your help, both now and over the last 3 years while I stalked and listened etc. here.

Welcome to the pack.
The 30 is a great 'lil machine.
The only problem with having a Back Hoe.. You put it on, dig whatever you were planning on diggin and then say, "well, while I've got it on the tractor, I might as well dig out that rock over there, and that one too and etc..."
It's great to have.
Have fun "working" it.

Congrats, and jealous (insanely jealous), further research on the issues I stated before don稚 appear to be in great numbers so nothing to lose sleep over.

Just make sure to stay on top of the maintenance and grease-grease-grease, also keep an eye out for any early signs of wear. I have seen other threads about reinforcements being done to strengthen certain parts.

Sorry if I seem over the top about BH work, it has to be my favorite attachment of all times :D and I have actually sent one (a rental) to the shop for repairs. LSS the rental was not maintained very well by the store I rented it from and they had to bring in another one as it broke fully extended into the hole I was working in. Lucky for me, I got to finish using the one that they brought to recover the broken one.

Congrats again and I wish you worry free years of operation!
