Price Check Used DK45 pricing and a question

Came across an ad for a 2003 DK45 with FEL that has about 250 hours. Don't know much more about it yet. Waiting on pictures from owner and possible trip to see it this weekend. Assuming that it checks out OK, what would be a good price on this. I've looked on the various web sites for listing tractors for sale, but am not finding any comparable DK45 units for sale to be able to get a good baseline for pricing. I know how much he is asking, but don't want to sway or taint anyone's answers.
I'm not up to speed on Kioti's as much as I know about Deere or Kubota brands so help me out here. What are the differences between the DK45 and the DK45S ? Is the DK45 a good unit or was it lacking in some regards and really needed the "S" upgrade? Just trying to pick every ones brain on this unit so I can be as informed as possible.

The 45S has a sloped hood, it is about 3 inches shorter than the 45, wheelbase on the 45S is 74 inches compared to 71.6 inches on the 45.
The total pump capacity on the 45S is 14.1 compared to 13.1 on the 45. The 3 ph. lift capacity on the 45S is 2,654 lbs as compared to 2,314 lbs for the 45 at lift points.
The 45S has electric on/off PTO and electric on/off 4wd engagement, I don't believe the 45 has the electric on/off 4wd.
There is a weight difference in the two tractors, the 45S weighs 4,300 lbs and the 45 weighs 3,800 lbs.
Both have the same engine displacement and synchronized shuttle transmissions. Tire size are the same on both tractors.
The 45S will have the newer loader, very good lifting capacity, curl back, and fast. The 45 most likely will have the older loader.
Hope this helps a bit. I can't help you with pricing, look at Tractor House.com, they always have 5 or 6 45's listed for sale from various years.

My (2003 edition) Used Tractor Price Guide showed that a 2002 DK45 went for $19,200 new. The info may not be worth much but at least it gives you a start. By the way, 250 hours is nothing.

Just based on how the Price Guide calculates their used values, I'd guesstimate they'd price it (premium condition) to be around $13,000.

OK, now I'd better get the flax jacket on to protect me from the incoming salvos that will be aimed at me

2006 edition states low trade @ $11,200 and high retail @ $16,000, tractor only!

I would like to hear if Larry looked at the 45 and what his impressions were. Maybe he's busy driving it around his property.

No, unfortunately I haven't seen it yet, did get some pictures. May get to do it this week. I'm just a tad reluctant to drive the 2.5 hours to get there (5 hours round trip) before I have a better handle on Kioti value, pricing, and depreciation. I did get to go to a tractor auction Saturday. They sold around 150 units, only 2 Kioti's. A 2000 DK35 with FEL and 930 hours that went for $7300. The other was a recent model DK55 cab/air unit with FEL and 195 hours that was pristine for $21,500.
Come on guys jump on in here and share your knowledge.
The web sites that have listings for used tractors, tractorhouse.com, fastline.com, equipmentlocator.com, equipmenttraderonline.com, machinefinder.com, ironclassifieds.com, and usfarmer.com to name a few just aren't flush with Kioti listings for comparison.

I have a DK45(S) W/ Cab and 451 fel, ordered new from factory last year and gave 21 for the tractor and 4 for the fel. I might not of gotten the best deal, but to me the service was worth any diff. in prices. Not for sure as to what you are purchasing but, pics would be great! Keep us posted on your new machine..

I bought a 2001 DK50c w/1590 loader, 84"BB , phd delivered for $22500 used with 236hrs 3 years ago. I just love it. It now has 400hrs. I did modify the self leveling loader for more rollback angle.I would be running it every day if I had more spare time. The DK50 is the same as the older DK45 it just has a turbo charged DK40 motor in it.
