Price Check Used KKII tiller price

/ Used KKII tiller price #11
In western NC the TSC price is $1600.00 for 5' tiller and $1800.00 for 6' tiller both KK.

Last week the 5' tiller was priced $1499.00. I had found one in stock in my area and was planning to get it in the next couple of weeks. Now I need to call and see if they have increased the price:mad:.

I called KK to see if pricing was going to change this year due to steel prices dropping. They would not give me much info but I told them I was going to buy a KK or Leinbac (sp)brand. They said their price to TSC would be the same as last year but did not know, of course, what TSC would charge. Looks like TSC is increasing their price:mad:

I will call my store and see if I can still get the old price since it was a left over from last year. I'll let you know.

Ya know......thats similar to the prices I was seeing listed.....so when the TSC manager gave me a price of $1270 (for a 5 footer) .....I decided not to wait and bought it now. I know steel prices "should" come down....but sometimes that takes time. I was pretty happy with the prices given me....but sometimes I think they vary alot from one state to another. I also found a 5 1/2' KK box frame disc which was quoted me at $870. which is a good price too...from what I read. I think I'm gonna snap that one up. Maybe I'm just lucky. :D

Thanks folks. Some of you are getting some pretty good deals on the tillers. A KK plant is fairly close to our farm and the one I have is selling for $1,750 around here. However, there are actually two types of KKII tillers out there.

You know, I was just thinking that if you don't change the way you use the tiller eg: depth, speed of travel, and what you work up with it... you might not have to worry about "tearing it up", since the horsepower thru the gearbox depends on how much work the tiller is doing and not necessarily how much is available at the pto. Of course, if you use it for really tough tilling, or if the load is more variable than you can control from the tractor's seat, you are right, you might very well damage the unit. Just a thought....

What is this about 2 types of KKII tillers? I know there is a small offset one but their web site shows only one type of the standard grade tiller.

6' KKII new about $2000 with the WA state sales tax. There's hardly ever a used tiller of any shape or form sold around here. If you own a tiller you keep it. I've seen a few rice tillers but they generly are being sold for scrap. bjr

Just checked the TSC web site - 6' KK Tiller - $1800 - then add state and local sales tax. Maybe each store can reduce the price some since others state they can buy them cheaper at some stores.

I live close to one of the plants that make KK Tillers, and they make a unit the call their "FlatTop". The name speaks for itself.

They also make a 7 foot tiller that isn't in their catalogue or on the web either.

I went into the local TSC store in 10/08 and asked about the 5' KKII. I was told they did not have one in stock, but would be getting some. The price at that time was 1,499.00 plus tax.

The clerk told me as I was leaving to speak with the store manager when I came back to buy one and the manager would take 10% of the price.

I went back in 11/09 and they had one in stock and I asked the manager to see it. I asked him if he would take 10% off and sure enough he did without any hesitation. Maybe a local econimic issue...I'm not sure. Total came to 1436.00 including tax.

In 01/09, I had a friend who went to the same TSC store to purchase a spreader for his ATV. I told him before about the 10%. The retail price in the store was a little less than 300.00. Sure enough...they gave him a 10% discount.

Checked the KKII a few weeks ago when I was there..... price had gone up 200.00 more.
