Used Kubota M6800 ????

I have been watching for a fairly local used M series 4WD tractor for over a year. I found a M6800 w/ shuttle shift advertised about 3 hrs away. It has 2500 Hrs but looks pretty clean in the picture. I know it is a huge variable but in general what does 2500 hrs mean on a tractor like that. If it checks out operationally what should I worry about ??

I'am no expert on diesel motor hrs but what I have done in past when making similar types of buys is to try too find out history of tractor (1 owner)(local) ? Why was tractor traded in ? On newer models (repo's). Was it a rental ? .
Another thing I do is swing over to TractorHouse site check out same models and see how many hours some of those have. That gives me an idea more or less if it has not been rebuilt(mtr) and hrs there getting out of them.
The tractor you have posted in the pic looks nice to me. Also I know you know you can compare regional prices to TH. Just MO.

i have the same tractor but with a standard clutch. Its been great. Has about 1000 hours of hard use with no problems at all. Whats the asking price? If the price is reasonable, I would not have a problem with the hours if it looks well maintained.

Tires look like they'll need replacing by the next owner. Probably not right away, but that's a big factor in price. Looks pretty good otherwise. 2500 hours wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if the price was good, and it had been properly maintained during those hours.

Thanks for the comments so far. I am thinking he is asking top dollar at $21,900 but don't see that many for sale with those kind of hours looking that clean.

Hi Gordon,

I saw that tractor advertised last fall when I was in the market. So it's been on the lot for a while. Might be ripe for a lowball offer. Though of course tractor season is coming....

that tractor still has alot of life left in it.2500hrs aint that much at all.because they can last for 10,000hrs or more depending on how they was maintained.a tractor like that around here they would want $25,000 easy.
