Need the feedback of the other JD owning TBN members about this subject. Late this afternoon I was using a gas power washer to clean the hard clay off my 420 loader, one of the decals on the right mast arm began to peel off. When I finished the cleaning job I looked at the decal and could see another decal underneath it. That second decal had lots of green paint overspray and it was scraped up also. Peeling back the decal on the left mast arm revealed another decal underneath it, again with overspray and scrapes.
I took delivery of the JD and loader 14 months ago, and they were sold to me as new. The serial number of the loader matches the number on the sales contract and JD Credit papers. However, I'm at a loss to understand why the loader arms have two warning decals placed atop each other.
On the right mast, the top decal has the correct decal number for the 420 loader and the one under it has the number for a 430 loader. I can understand having the wrong decal and covering it up with the correct one, but the paint overspray and scrapes.... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I am going to contact JD Welland Works in Ontario, Canada, and find out when my loader was manufactured and where it was delivered to originally. Has anyone else experienced this situation?
