Hi,
:newhere:
I've been lurking on this forum for the past week or so trying to make up my mind about buying a used LS tractor, now bought by your truly.
I'm living in France and LS tractor are (like so many things here) horrendously expensive, a new RIO 36 HST (called the R3039H in the US) with a self leveling loader is about 30 000 euros (about 37 400 USD....
), hardly an inviting price.
The one I should be getting next week is "only" (cough, choke, faint...:irked
16 500 euros (around 20 500 USD, what you people pay for a 4041 I beleive) and has 35 hours on the metter (1 of which I put while test driving it)
I'll post pictures as soon as the beast is here.
I'm buying the thing cause I'm currently renovating an old water mill, and I have quite a lot of gravel and ruble to clear evry day, not to mention a nice lot (1.5 Hectares, ie 3.7 acres) or of land to care for (mostly forest) for those who are interested the property is at 47°15'26.78"N by 5°38'34.79"E on google earth if you want a birds view of the setting.
In the meantime I have a question regarding tires.
The tractor comes with the standard agri tires, 7x16 up front, and 12.4x24 in the rear, I'd like to switch over to some semi industrial tires (R4 instead of R1), so the question is :
- Would the R4 tires fit on the current rims or do I also need to change the rims ?
- What size R4 tires should I put, considering that I dont want to loose the maximum speed since I'll be hauling gravel and stuff in the front shovel quite a long way evry day.
