Used New Idea 5407

[Soggy Bottom Outdoors]

I bought a used New Idea 5407 disc mower and was online shopping for new blades. Pretty quickly I began to wonder who actually built the thing. The blades that fit mine will several other brands, Bush Hog, Lely, Vicon, Agco, MF, Hesston. Does anyone have any reference material that might show who built what? I'm thinking the cutter bar is a Vicon. But right now it's mostly a guess.

AGCO bought new idea which bought out IH/case. AGCO also bought out Heston which was bought by Massy before AGCO bought both. That mower could be bought under almost any brand due to mergers etc. you can buy it new as a MF now.
