Used oil containers

After having my second set of cheap auto-shop oil cans spring a leak on me I'm looking to grab something that'll last a bit longer. Before I scrub through Amazon reviews, anyone have any favorites they can recommend?

Are you saying your Goldenrod oil squirt can failed you? Goldenrod cans have never failed me. Not that I use them a lot. Same brand my Dad had.

I use old five gallon hydraulic oil containers. Never had one leak. Friend just up the road burns used oil for heat, so I fill two, then take up to empty.

Amen.m I now have a 55 gal drum for that. With the move to town that will have to go away.

A 5 gallon oil container is pretty hard to beat. I've got several of them and burn the oil on brush piles.

I use 5 gallon fire fighting foam buckets. They have a wide mouth opening with a sturdy cap, and a more comfortable handle to carry them around. I keep 3 for oil, and 5 for coolant.

Heck I just use old 5 at oil cans 2 gallon oil cans and 5 gallon pails to stash on my old oil in . I've never had any of them leak. You got to find somewhere else to put them You must be hitting them with something. I used to keep mine for a long time now I just take it up to the local guy who does my car inspections and it takes mercy on me and give it all to him to heat his garage with. Last year I gave them around 100 gallons��

I burn ethanol in the winter, so I usually have six or seven five-gallon empty steel cans every spring. So far that's been enough!

These work great; I have been using mine for years! If you have any friends who are firefighters, ask them if they could get you a few. Sometimes the caps get hard to open and the easiest trick I’ve found is to use an oil filter wrench to loosen them.
