Used TC33

Looked at a used TC33 today. 2001 model,hydro,with Great Bend quick attach loader. It has 756 hours on it. Owner traded it in for a bigger machine when he had 350 hours on it. Dealership has rented it out to get the remaining hour total. Looks in decent shape. Wants $15000.00 for it. Think it's too much? Should I be concerned that most of the hours are from rentals? Or am I just being paranoid? Just because your paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm not sure what the price should be, but I know I would not pay anything near $15k for a TC33D with 756 hours. You could get a new one for about $3,000 more. A $3k discount from new is not enough incentive for me to give up a warranty. I'm thinking a price around $12k to $13k depending on condition. I would also ask the dealer to guarantee it against major defects for 30 days.

I somewhat agree with Jerry (MrWurm). The price isn't the best. The thing that would really scare me even if it looks good is the fact is what a rental tractor. Rented by people who didn't know much about tractors nor cared for them what so ever. I think you could get a new one for 3 to 4 grand more and you would have a brand new warranty. The other thing you could do would be to look at a brand new TC30 with Hydro and end up around the same price as the used including the loader. Just some things to check out. I have been around too many rental places to feel comfortable with buying anything that comes from them.

Ditto, what Murph said about the rental usage.

Since Murph mentioned the TC30, I'll mention that I paid $15,100 for my TC30, hydrostatic, turfs, 7308 loader. Your price may vary. Its a great tractor with a few less features than the TC33D.

I've considered the TC30, but with a bulged disc and a pinched nerve in my back I have to have a good suspension seat. If it weren't for the seat,there would be a 30 in my barn now. It is a New Holland dealer with the tractor, so maybe I can get some warranty out of him. I'm just thinking outloud now. Thanks for the input.

Right now I have an L2900 Kubota. Really like the tractor, but cannot find anything to fit it. The way everythings made,I would have to cut out the seat area to make it low enough, and then it's not back far enough. The top lift arms for the three point would get in the way of the seat. I am open for suggestions.

Just before buying a tractor, I discovered (through the wonders of nuclear magnetic resonance imaging) that I have a herniated lumbar disc, I went ahead and bought the TC30 I had been looking at. I use it with a foam roll strapped to the seat back for lumbar support, and so far it has been OK.

I'm not sure that is a good price.

I'll compair to my machine that I bought used from my local NH dealer. Your machine is a couple years old. has 700 something hours on it.. hydro, loader.. 15000$

My Nh 1920 I bought for 9500$.. also had about 700 something hours on it and was a couple ys old.. was traded in by owner for a 3010s.. dealer rebuilt engine. no loader.. add 2.5k or so for the loader depending on condition.. no hydro.. add about 1k for that .. and that 1920 is a bigger machine than the tc 33... Adding the numbers up.. I don't think you should be paying more than 12.5 - 13k for it...
